J.E.N. Components was founded in 1994 in Písek under the name UNISTIL BOHEMIA s.r.o. From our original specialisation in edge banding and structural plastic profiles, we have gradually evolved into a comprehensive supplier of quality furniture hardware – from designer handles to aluminium profiles, hinges, drawer runners and sliding systems.
We process aluminium profiles in-house – we prepare furniture door frames with glass infills, cut to size, mill and apply surface finishes. Our dedicated technical department offers consultations for architects, designers and joinery workshops.

J.E.N. Components is a company operating in the field of components for furniture manufacturing. From the original range of edge banding and structural plastic profiles, the offer has expanded to include various types of opening systems, exclusive handles, roller blind systems, hinges, drawer runners and especially aluminium profiles and their processing into semi-finished and finished products.
J.E.N. Components is a family business with deep roots in the craft woodworking trade.
The family's tradition in the trade dates back to 1862, when great-grandfather Josef was born and went on to train as a wheelwright. He also had all five of his sons apprenticed in the same trade. Among them was grandfather Bedřich, who later had his son Jiří trained as both a wheelwright and a carpenter (Jiří subsequently completed his secondary education at a furniture-making school). The passion for wood as a structural material was passed on by father Jiří to his son – Josef's great-grandson – also named Jiří. He studied at the Secondary School of Arts and Crafts in Prague and completed his education at the University of Forestry and Wood Technology in Zvolen.
The company has been active in the Czech and Slovak markets since 1994, when it was registered under the name UNISTIL BOHEMIA s.r.o. At that time, it was the exclusive distributor of Stillemans – a manufacturer of furniture edging, continuous edge banding and special profiles with a wide range of surface finishes. As the customer base grew over time, so did the demand for a broader product range, and the company gradually acquired representation for additional manufacturers.
Today, the company offers a comprehensive range of furniture hardware from leading European manufacturers, who provide a solid foundation in terms of technical development, design, quality and service.
In 2014, on the occasion of the company's 20th anniversary, the owners decided to rename the company from UNISTIL BOHEMIA s.r.o. to J.E.N. Components s.r.o., embracing the family tradition in the trade. The name J.E.N. represents the names of Jiří and Elena Nováková.
